I am editing a project that will be broadcast on TV and I wan't to make sure my levels are correct. When I view the project with waveform set to studio RGB setting it says some parts are illegal, but when I change the setting to 7.5 IRE it says it is legal?? What setting on waveform should i be using?? Also, what broadcast filter setting should I use if i am illegal.

Thanks,
John

If you're in a PAL land for the Broadcast Colors filter settings I suggest:

- Deselect "7,5 IRE Setup" (it's for NTSC use).

- Be sure to have "Studio RGB (16-235)" selected.

- Select the preset "Lenient" (o.k. - this automatically sets the points mentioned above ...).

- Set the Smoothness values of Luma Max, Chroma, Composite Min and Max to 0,5 (be sure : the SMOOTHNESS! values NOT the Min/Max values itself).

- Set Chroma Max value to 133.

Not a must but I think you will be rather sure with these settings. Don't know what it is for NTSC.
