Might have to pad the end of the video. There are more then a few issues playing VCD & SVCD on a DVD player as it's an add-on feature that doesn't always work as well as a stand alone VCD/SVCD player. Might try other formats (SVCD/CVCD etc.) that use mpg2 instead of mpg1. Might try other authoring software - might try just the video without menus if you're using them.

Okay I'm very new to Video. I'm more of a sound guy who has just brought this element into my studio. By padding do you mean make the video a little longer before fade or what...Thanks for all your help in advance...

Yep.

I always add at least 5 seconds of black/silence to the end of all videos when encoding to MPEG, and usually at least a second or two to the beginning as well. Those who see the extra time never complain, and i avoid complaints from those who would otherwise have missed parts of the video.

He means throw some black on the start and end. 5 seconds should do. My VCD's dont have audio for the first 2 seconds on the Apex player, which is really annoying. :)

well one other problem Im having which could help or not with your 2 sec gap of audio is that If I render down to video for windows"avi" with 44.100 16 bit audio, it plays fine on the media player on the computer but when recorded to VCD the audio has a steady click sound going. The only way Ive found around this is to bring the project into Cakewalk Studio 9, that I have ,then extract to "avi" from there and the audio is fine on VCD......Any ideas on that?

Greywolf, what happens if you encode directly to MPEG-1 from the timeline without rendering to AVI first?

I don't think the words "Mastering" and "VCD" can be used in the same sentence they contradict each other.
