Video Streams

I am having problems with my vegas music video project I have downloaded all the clips that I needed from the internet and they are in AVI format but when i try to put them into the vegas timeline it says "Video Stream Attributes Could Not Be Determined" Please help me as soon as possible as I want to get working on my music video.

Your computer doesn't have the needed video codec. Divx, perhaps? A search of this forum should tell you what version works best in Vegas, a google search should help you find where you can download it.
