Video Strobe

I have Sony Vegas Movie Studio Platinum 8.0. Before I used Pinnacle Studio 9.0. There are a couple of features I miss. The main one is a video strobe where you can vary how many frames are displayed per second. You could slow it down to a few frames per second to simulate a quick series of action photos or just a tad (around 24 fps?) to give a slight film look. Does Vegas have this feature under a different name or have another way to do it. I noted one forum talking about rendering to 24fps. But I would like to have more options than this. Does anyone know how to custom strobe, especially before rendering so you can check out the effect ahead of time? By the way, the only 24fps rendering I found was a custom render of 23.976 with a chocie between a 2-3 pulldown and a 2-3-3-2 pulldown. Does anyone know what these options are about?

The 24fps on vegas is different than what you are looking for. What you can do, is export using a lossless codec at 10 fps, and then import that .avi to your main project. But if you want lighting every a few frames, then it's more complex as you would have to make them yourself...

Hi Manuel,
If I understand what you are wanting to do, I believe that all you need to do is right click on the video clip in the timeline-click on properties-go to undersample rate and you can change the frames per second to anything you would like, and then view it in the preview window to see if that is what you wanted. Let us know if that helps. Cin
