video to .png

Duh...the 70's have kicked in again...

How do I convert a video clip to a series of .png's or .jpg's.

This may sound silly, but I'm going to print out a few of the frames as thumbnails, then make a paper flip movie of our daughter blowing her a kiss for her birthday. I figure I can put them in PS, lamenate the pics, glue and staple the ends. Voila...instant kiss whenever she wants one (about 10 frames). I know I could do this manually, but I seem to remember doing this function automatically.

Use the script that saves a series of snapshots.

VirtualDub does this.

Jasc Paintshop Pro's Animation Shop is good for things like that. You can also choose every 5th frame or whatever you like.
Then you can do batch processing to do anything you want that Paintshop can do.

I use it to make my own jumpbacks.
