If your editing with VV3 or 4 you can put the video on the timeline, play what's on the timeline, and press the "snapshot" button on the bottom right hand corner of the screen (on the top of the video monitor box). A "save" window will pop-up, and then once you save it, your done. This is the easiest way that I know of how to do this.

I am using a double screen setup so this will not work

When you are capturing your video/pictures or whatever you want to call them. In Capture mode, pause your camera. Since it is 6 seconds of the same thing...pause it with the picture displayed on the screen. Then click "Capture Image". It is located directly under the preview window. This will only capture the one frame. I believe it captures as a JPEG. I use this method all the time. (VV4) --I too am using Dual Monitors)

Also one of the sample scripts might help you out.

Look for the one called RenderImageSequence.js

This will allow you to capture images from the timeline every x number of seconds. If you have recorded your photos every 6 seconds then you should be able to dump all the appropriate images from the video using this script. It creates jpeg files all named sequentially. Very good tool.

Yes it will.


You might try using the floppy icon in the preview window..

set preview quality to "best", project size, and also set the project to progressive, and you can save some nice stills.
