Video too dark after rendering and Youtube error.

Hello my name is Benjamin and yesterday I bought Sony Movie Studio 13.

Now I have two errors already.
First of all when I edit my video everything looks fine, but after it's rendered and saved to my harddrive some parts of the video is almost black and video is overall very dark.
How do you fix that?

Second error, if I try to upload a video to Youtube it says "Error: NoLinkedYouTubeAccount" and I know I have type in everything right. How do you fix that?

Best regards, Benjamin Åberg

What type of file did you render to, using which template and codec? Did you use any custom parameters when rendering? Is the picture dark in the preview window while you're editing? How are you viewing the file after you render it? Did you use any effects? Make sure the level slider in the video track header is all the way to the right at 100%. The video event on the timeline itself can also be dimmed if you've somehow dragged the top edge down; this will form a thin horizontal blue line through the whole event and if you do see it there then drag it back up to the top.

I've never bothered trying to upload from within Vegas. After i've rendered the file i log into YouTube and do a normal upload from there.

1. If the video looks right to you in the Vegas preview, add the Computer->Studio Levels filter just before rendering. Then the player will look correct.

2. Youtube changes its APIs every month or two. No way Sony could issue updates fast enough to keep up. Use the Youtube uploader.

Ok thank you guys. It looks better when I have got the Levels plugin there. Stil a bit blurry though but I can deal with it.

Blurry = frame rate mismatch (usually).
