Video Track becomes green

I observe a strange phenomenon in Vegas Movie Studio. While editing a clip, when I zoom in or zoom out the video track becomes green and the usual clip display in the track disappears. While this happens the preview still works normally. But this is very annoying. When I restart the program things become normal. Can anyone help please. Thanks.

What are the media properties? Download MediaInfo to find out.
Some media types require far more memory on the timeline than others.

I thought of that and checked the files. They are normal avi or mpeg files. Besides for the same files sometimes I get this green colour and sometimes all runs OK.

There is absolutely no such thing as a "normal" AVI or mpeg file. Telling us the wrapper does not tell us what is inside. You may want to start reading here:

Quite useful info from the thread. I am trying to reproduce the problem. The moment I spot the culprit I shall analyze it and give the details as you mentioned.
