I'm having a latency problem when previewing 5.1 projects in Vegas 4.0. I have a Creative Audigy A800 sound card and am using the Creative ASIO drivers that came with it. When I hit "Play" on the Vegas transport bar, the audio begins playing immediately but the video preview window and the VU maters don't start for about a second. They remain one second behind for the duration of the playback.

If I use Windows Classic Wave Driver, everthing syncs perfectly but I don't hear my surround mix because I can't route the channels correctly.

Anybody else having this problem? I have put in a support e-mail to SOFO but have not heard back yet. Other than that, what a great product this is!

Athlon 1.4, 1 GB RAM, Pioneer DVR-105.
