Yep. Back in the SonicFoundry ownership days they had 3rd party marketing arrangements for the lower-end versions of their software with several other companies, SONY being one of them and Nova Development another.

Also important to note is that Nova Video Explosion is a repackage of Movie Studio 2 not Movie Studio 3. (i.e., only two video tracks instead of 3)

Edit: I originally thought it was based on Video Factory 2 but I see it does have cheoma key!
