Videofactory 2.0 Serial Number Issues

I am trying to install the program on my new computer, but it is not accepting my serial number. I lost the email that I received when I bought the product that had the serial number, but I have the serial number in the help menu. After I install the program, it keeps telling me that the serial number is invalid. Has anyone else had this problem?

What you see in Help / About is not your serial number. I believe it's an activation code. You will probably have to contact SONY's tech support to request that they send you your serial number again.

What i do after each time i buy a new SONY license is to save the serial number email in a text file along with the downloaded install file and any other files, such as the manual, download page links, etc. I then burn a CD with all these files and put it away for safe keeping. Make a couple of copies and store them in different places.
