VideoFactory and CoolEdit 2000

I'm new to VF and I thought that if I set the Preferred audio editor to my CoolEdit 2000, highlighted the audio track in the video project and selected Open in audio editor, it would work. Well, it opens in CoolEdit allright, but its just garbage gurgles and static. The audio and video track are captured from a VHS video tape. Any ideas what to do? Thank you.

Use "Open copy in Audio Editor" instead. When you are finished working in Cool Edit, make sure to save your file (without changing the name) before exiting.
