By default VideoFactory will save the file as "untitled.mpg", unless you choose to save it by another name.

On my system, it saves it to the "my documents" folder.

Hope this helps

I don't know much about Easy CD Creator 6 but I'll try to help you. First of all, I'm assuming you are using the "DVD Creator" and not "Creator Classic."

I'm going to start off a little "simple", please don't take offense because none is intended. I'm just getting a feel for the problem by eliminating the simple stuff.

OK, I'm guessing you are importing files by clicking on the "Multimedia Files" button underneath the menu. This hopefully brings up the "Import Files" window. You probably go to the place where you put your .mpg file (ex. C:\My Documents). Your problem is that the file doesn't show up as a little thumbnail on the right, right?

Did you try selecting something like ".mpg file" from the dropdown box at the upper right of the "Import Files" window. I actually have no idea what is in that dropdown box so please enlighten me if I'm totally off.

Also try changing the view so it show a list type view rather than thumbnails.

If that doesn't work, try renaming your .mpg file as a .mpeg file. Does that help or no?

It appears you want to import a *.VF file. That's a Video Factory project file, not a video file. You'll need to find the MPG file you rendered from VF.

DaveCT is right, you can't import a .vf file into DVD Creator.

In your first post, you said you rendered a mpeg file using the "Make Movie" command in Video Factory. You need to find that .mpg file because it isn't in the directory you specified.

Thanks, I did not notice that when I rendered the file it put the file on my C:/My Movies partition, I was looking on the F partition, like you said discdude simple stuff Thanks again it works great now.
