VideoFactory to Ulead DVD Movie Factory 2 help

I have a question for anyone out there who is using VideoFactory (or Screenblast) and using their avi files in Ulead DVD Movie Factory 2. I have read the posts in this forum regarding OpenDML and am a little confused.

Here's my problem. Ulead DVD Movie Factory will not accept avi files in the OpenDML format (AVI 2.0). I have read the posts regarding unchecking the "Create an OpenDML format avi" and have done so. Now VF won't let me render any movie that is over 10 minutes long. (I receive an error message saying that the file size exceeds the limit allowed in this format.)

Here's my question. Is there any way to render an large avi file (30 minutes) in VF that will be compatible with Ulead DVD Movie Factory 2?

If not, what program do you use to re-render to a DVDMF-compatible file? I have tried re-rendering a short OpenDML VF avi in Pinnacle Studio 7. DVDMF recognizes this file but this seems to be too much work. I am trying to get away from Pinnacle. Any other suggestion?

The easiest way is to purchase the $30 MPEG2 encoder. You could also buy TMPGEnc but that's $50. You could also complain to Ulead that their AVI reader does not accept AVI 2.0 files whle other products like Pinnacle Studio do. ;-)

I use a free Canopus converter. Then you can pull the avi files into ULEAD. However, I bag all of this now. I now use a Radeon DV card. It renders SVCD or DVD codec on the fly. No more hours of converting avi's!!! Yeah! the_ripper

So what ATI Radeon cards render MPEG 2 files in real time ?? Does it have a hardware encoder ???
