I recently installed VideoFactory v2c on a new Windows XP SP2 system. When I launch the program, it displays the splash screen, starts to load the application, then immediately exits. There are not any errors displayed, and I didn't see any errors logged in the Windows Event Viewer. Searching the forums, I saw a post about disabling thumbnail views (problems with the Media Pool). I searched my system, deleted all thumbs.db files, and made sure all explorer windows were not using "View Thumbnails". Still no luck. Any suggestions?! The program works successfully on my laptop, and my old PC.
