I just upgraded from Vegas 6 to Vegas 7, and I can't preview my video tracks (the editing window) -- only in the preview window. I can't seem to find a switch or options to enable this.
Help me out a little bit here. How do you expect to preview your tracks besides the preview window? And i do seem to understand that you do see them in the preview window. Is that correct?
OK, I was afraid I was going to have trouble explaining this as I don't use Vegas very often.
The Preview window is in the lower-right corner, correct? What I'm talking about is the "Main" window, into which you drag clips from your Project Media list. After dragging such a clip, you are now looking at a video track and an audio track.
In Vegas 6, when I pressed the play button, the video track in THAT window (what I call the "Editing window") was displayed as I played it, albeit much smaller. So I could stop at a frame, do whatever edits (Splits, crossfades, etc.) and step forward or back, etc., without having to take my eyes off the editing window and look at the preview window (in the lower corner of the screen).
After upgrading to Vegas 7, this tracks is no longer moving. It's frozen at the last location that I clicked into it.
I'm certain that this is not normal behavior, so I'm just trying to get this track to display (preview) the active track.
