Vimeo embedding

I uploaded a .wmv to vimeo and it reprocessed it to flash. (That's what it does right?) It gives me a button to click to embed the flash in a website. I know just enough to be dangerous here. I know I copy the code but, then what do I do in Front Page to get the flash file onto my site? Step by step instructions would be great! Thanks,
Ron

You can't download the flash file. You can only download the source file you uploaded yourself, and to embed the code on your HTML in your site. But the re-encoded flash file is not offered for downloading.

OK, after playing around a bit with a new page I fiured out the code is only a link to the vimeo page where the flash file is. I can't get the flash file from vimeo itself? I don't want a link, I want the actual file. If this is not possible with vimeo can you tell how to accomplish my goal? I just want a good version (flash or not) that can be viewed by my potential customers on MY website. The .wmv file is too big to be a viable option. It takes forever for a person to open and viwew as it stands.
Thanks,
Ron

Ronnie,
There are two options:
1) You stick to the website you already have, but re-render the video (wmv format) so that the file is much smaller, but you will have quality loss. Your customers then will be able to download the (smaller) file and watch it.
2) You use vimeo as an embedded link on your website. It will seem the video is on YOUR website, but it will actually be on vimeo's server. (That is the basis of all embedded video, by the way). Your customers will be able to watch the streaming video. For an example of this, look here: http://strobomerkes.blogspot.com/

This should be pretty standard in Frontpage. Have you consulted Frontpage's built-in help? My guess is it should work with 'Insert' 'Hyperlink'. Then hit F1 for help.

Insert hyperlink to what? The Vimeo page? I don't want to do that. Like I said I'm not too hip to this stuff. It might be a "duh" thing to you all but, it is all Greek to me.

Embedding Vimeo's code is the way to go, here's how it looks on my own page:

If this is not what you want, and instead you want to host the actual flash file on your site, then you need to do the re-encoding to Flash yourself:

Well, you made your website, right? Edit your main page (where you have the download files) a bit: click 'insert' menu, select hyperlink.

ps
I presume you made the website yourself. Or did someone else do it for you?

Holy crap Euginia! Where did you learn all this??? OK, I got to the part where I am encoding the file. You give a bunch of options...PS3, Apple TV etc. Which one do I choose for a file to go on my website? Is it the 480p-30?
Thsnka for all your help and patience!!!

No, you are mentioning here the wrong set of templates (480p-30). You went to the other article as step1 said, but you didn't go only up to step5, but you went to step 6 too. You don't do step6 in that article. You go back to the first article I mentioned you and get the templates from there. You use the flash-848.bat or the flash-640.bat.
