VMS 10, can it do a menu driven blu-ray disc?

Before I purchase VMS 10; can a blu-ray disc be created with menus and chapters (i.e., menu driven as with a DVD in DA of VMS 9.0b)?

The information for VMS 10 on the update site indicates that it can but I would like confirmation from some of you that have purchased it because when I had read the information on VMS9.0b (which I bought) it lead me to believe that it made blu-ray discs with menus (it doesn't).

Thank you!

YOu can also donwload a trial here and test to make sure it works on your machine...

I installed my copy of VMS10 today. As far as I can tell, it doesn't do menu driven blu-ray discs. But on the same disc is DVD architect and I think that can make menu driven blu-ray discs.

So far I haven't been able to import footage from VMS10 to DVDA so that is my next challenge.

As Markk655 suggested (good idea - thanks), I downloaded the trial VMS10 and DA5 and successfully processed my 1hr:8min movie (overnight) and burned a menu driven blu-ray disc from the trial DA5 (this morning). However, (I know I've seen this warning message somewhere but didn't pay much attention to it - the disc my not play on all machines, well..) I have a Sony BDP-N460 that it will play on, and a Sony BDP-S300 that it will not play on. I also can not play it on my PC because the graphics card doesn't meet the necessary requirements. Looks like I bought VMS9b too soon.

You can probably make a minor video card upgrade so that it plays on your computer...My NVidia 7600GT (although no match for the newer cards out there) isn't that power hungry and can play 1920x108 AVCHD and Blu-Ray files structures on the hard drive. You can probably get one these days for less than $50.

Thanks for the suggestion on the NVidia 7600GT. I now have VMS10 and it works great; blue-ray with menus. Thanks again for all your advice and input.

FYI for those who may have issues with playback on certain players: Sony creative software and Sony esupport linked me to a free firmware upgrade for my blu-ray disc player (BRP-S300) and I can now playback my VMS10 blu-ray movies.

One big negative that I've noticed is that you cannot burn a bluray with menu in dvd architect 5 in 5.1 surround sound, only stereo. You can however make a surround sound dvd from the Vegas 10 (and 9) platinum timeline without a menu.
Very weird.
Either menu and stereo sound or no menu and surround.

Lucio, thanks for the info. I don't recall that issue when I created my BR disc w/menu; I think it allowed 5.1surround but I don't recall and I don't know if there is a way to check (I don't have a surround sound system). I'll keep this mind when I do my next movie.

Thank you!
