Has anyone noticed that mov files (mine are iphone generated) seem to break VMS (intermittently)?
Sometimes they work. Sometimes they don't. Sometimes they work and then they don't in the same project.
Symptoms: Drag clip to timeline from VMS Explorer. Video will stop playing, VMS crashes during building of audio peaks. Playback turns green - or just black. Often, the 'Summary' under the VMS Explorer tab says, 'Video: Stream attributes cannot be determined'. The correct audio properties are listed. However, just a moment before, the attributes were listed. If VMS doesn't crash, it allows me to drag the file to the timeline, but only the audio is recognized.
I am using the latest ITunes and I still have QT Player installed (7.7.8). I'm using VMS14 with Win 10, 64 bit.
In the VMS About>Components, the QT codec appears to be: qt7plug.dll version: 14.0.0.122
My current workaround is to convert the files, but if I could figure out a VMS fix, that would be great.
Some additional info - In the same project, I can have one mov file not recognized and another one that works! I can see a few parameters that vary, but nothing screams (at least to me).
DOES NOT WORK
