I know, updates are coming, but tell that to a client!

I had to buy a new computer recently and it came with Vista. I am trying one last attempt to fix this before I install XP. When I intall VMS it dissables every Windows based media player and recorder. VMS works beautifully, but most of my other programs wont. So I am currently installing VMS, using it for the project, then uninstalling VMS do continue being productive.

Does anyone know of a fix while I wait for updates from Sony?
