Hi All,
I have been using VMS 8 now for about a year. I got it when I bought my Sony HDR-SR7. What I want as a finished product when I am done editing my videos is a single file that is the most equivalent in quality to my original shot footage and that will play on my PS3 from my DLNA server. My camera shoots at 1440??x1080i to a AVCHD file format at 15mbps. When I select render as, the best fit for my final output is that I can find is Main concept MPEG-2 HDV1080-60i. And it work fine as described above. (I have to rename the output file to the .MPG extension)
So my questions are...
1. Is that the right selection for the best quality that I can get?
2. Why is there not a selection for Sony AVCHD full resolution output. (All I see is PSP)
3. Does VMS 9 have a render as selection to AVCHD at equivalent quality?
4. And why wouldn't VMS have a complete AVCHD workflow? (It would seem to help not having to render video to a different format than what the original footage is)
