VMS Crashes often

Hey Guys

Do you experience the frequent crashing of VMS?

If anything is a deal breaker it's this. It's really starting to become annoying. A few times now I've spent 40 minutes cutting the hums and arrs from the video which is a tedious process and upon saving or press a button that it doesn't like it goes all while and crashes.

It's actually starting to me counter productive. Has anyone had any of these issues before and how did you solve them. Telling me to save frequently isn't going to cut it.

Which version of VMS are you using?

No, I don't experience frequent crashing. Crashes are very rare except the other evening when I had several 'white screens' caused by a video file VMS obviously didn't like even though it had been rendered from VMS.

I've found that 15 is much more delicate than 14.

It's not unusual for me to experience hangs if I do anything that might use the GPU while the video is playing. I haven't found a reliable set of things that always causes it to hang and have resorted to saving frequently.

It's almost guaranteed to hang if I haven't done a save in a few minutes of editing

System 1:

Windows 10
i9-10850K 10 Core
128.0G RAM
Nvidia RTX 3060 Studio driver [most likely latest]
Resolution        3840 x 2160 x 60 hertz
Video Memory 12G GDDR5

System 2:

Lenovo Yoga 720
Core i7-7700 2.8Ghz quad core, 8 logical
16G ram
Intel HD 630 gpu 1G vram
Nvidia GTX 1050 gpu 2G vram

The version I have is VMS 2015.

I am now saving my work like i'm on windows 95. The problem I found was that no matter how long you wait it it doesn't come back. You have to close the app down and start it again.

From memory I think twice that it crashed was due to me saving. I.e. CTRL + S.

Off topic a little. However, editing using Shuttle Pro v2 is great and speeds up the workflow considerably.
