VMS Platinum and ACID XMS

I purchased VMS +DVD Platinum online, which included ACID XMS. Is this supposed to be the full version of ACID XMS? I don't seem to have any of the 600 loops and samples that are supposed to be part of ACID XMS. Where can I get them? The program is useless without loops and samples.

Also, is there a way to download the book that is supposed to come with the retail version? I believe the book is call "what you MUST knonw about DV" or something to that effect.

I didn't get those loops either Ax - can't say I have played much with it. its the dollar menu version of Acid. maybe we both got the same "deal" - I don't know for sure if that "deal" included the loops or if they added that later after they realized it was really limited as to what you could do and people like you and me were scratching their heads goin - huh? time to call Sony I guess.

Oh if you want that manual just look to the top of the screen and click the support button, then click the manual you want to download - no worries.

I also loaded up ACID XMC (from the application disk that came with Platinum) and was disappointed that when I looked on my hard drive there were only 25 - 30 loops, not the 600 that were promised if you buy the software directly.

I sent a message to Tech Support and they said all 600 should be on the disk.

I "explored" the CD this morning, and sure enough, all of the 600 loops were there. I don't know why they didn't save when I loaded up the application disk.

On the Acid XMC CD?

I'm thinking they shouldn't charge the same price for the "download version" as they do for the boxed version if they aren't going to provide all of the extras.

I actually have the boxed version. I'm looking to find those loops, if they are included.

Until I read the features for Acid XMC, I had no reason to believe that I would have these, or should have them.

Since others have them, I wonder whether there is a CD missing from my box.

I am enquiring with support at this point to see what I should have.

FYI, I still regard this as excellent software, whether these samples are included with Vegas Movie Studio+DVD Platinum or not.

The sound effects Sampler and the 1001 Sound Effects CDs are great extras, and the software is a steal for what it is.

It'll be a while before I have use for the Loops anyway.

Perhaps the extras could be downloaded, or ordered at purchase time for a download purchase? That would be great.

I found the 600 loops on the ACID XMC Application Disk (Loops and Voices folder) that came in the box with my Sony Vegas Studio Platinum.

Also included in the same box were:

** Vegas Movie Studio+DVD Application Disk (Platinum Edition)

** 1,001 Sound Effects

** Sony Pictures Sound Effects Series (volumes one through five)

Same CDs I have. I'll have another look tonight, but I could not find them on the XMC Application Disk.

Nope, not on any CD.

Miscellaneous examples on the VMS Platinum Application CD, but no ACID loops. :-(

There's a folder on my Acid disc labeled "Loops And Songs".
They're in that folder.

Thanks. I don't have that folder anywhere on the ACID XMC CD.

I'll see if support can get me a replacement with the loops on, or if they were excluded for some reason.

Their absence is puizzling me.
