VMS10.0 b179 Extremely unstable and slow

I bought two year ago VMS ver 9 for AVCHD files rendering ... and as you know it had big problems with rendering FH clips so i wait for upgrade...and when VMS 10 was announced i was very happy... when i found out that upgrade cost i was disappointed but ok more functions better software i almost have bought it ...but just before click “buy” something touch me and says ...”try IT” .. and im disappointed again and became very angry about:
- *.vf not compatible with VMS 9 and no possibility to export project to format *.vf VMS 9 from VMS10 !!!!
- Unstable during importing media files to project VNS10 hang up and crash (AVCHD files FH res)
- Unstable during editing files on timeline VMS10 crash suddenly and randomly (AVCHD files FH res)
- Extremely slowly playback AVCHD files in timeline (even playing one clip without transisions)
- Explorer hung up when browsing network disk (when clik folder then VMS10 freezing for 5 minutes..)
This software should be versioned as beta-version not commercial…

Except for one point, my experience with V10 differs from yours:

VMS10 loads VMS9 projects just fine. When you go to save the project VMS10 tells you that the saved .vf file is not compatible with VMS9. This is typical "not downward compatible" behavior.

All my input videos are 1920x1080 AVCHD and VMS10 imports them just fine.

I've never had any problems editing video files on the timeline.

Yes, for some reason VMS10's playback is not as good as it was in VMS9. This is puzzling indeed.

I've not tried to load files from a network disk, but I do have both internal and external disks and never had a problem with loading source files. It could be that your network drive had "gone to sleep" and needed to wake up before it could be used.

My sense is the problems you are experiencing are the result of some external factor. What it might be is not clear however.

On my system, VMS10HD runs like a smoothly oiled engine...

Something must be wrong with your installation. Make sure you install the programme on the same partition as where your OS is installed. Also fully reboot your system after installation.
