VMS11 still needs Memory Cap patch

On behalf of VMS11 users...
I just installed VMS11 and tried to render a VMS10 project (based on AVCHD footages) which originally crashed during rendering but successfully completed after I applied the memory cap patch (as explained in this Forum).
Result: VMS11 also crashes.
I applied the patch and now the rendering successfully completed.

Result: VMS11 still need the memory cap patch.
Patched files: VegasMovieStudioPE110.exe, VegasMovieStudioPE110k.dll, Sonymvd2pro_xp.dll, wmfplug4.dll

Thanks for the info. But where did you get the names of those files? They are not at all the same as the ones that get patched in VMS10.

Yep, have to agree! I downloaded the trial and opened a previous project - crashed within 30 seconds! Applied the patch and it now seems to work fine. Quite unbelievable - I've had to do it on every version since V8!

Hello Birk,

I just started from an old post about memory cap on this Forum and search the files that were mentioned there to be patched.
Some file names contains the VMS version: e.g. xxx100xxx for VMS10 becomes xxx110xxx for VMS11.

Regards

There are 2 copies of "sonymvd2pro_xp.dll." The other copy is at FileIO Plug-Ins/compoundplug.
