I'm currently using VMSP8 on Vista, and have just ordered Vegas Pro 8. (I figured I should take advantage of the combination of the upgrade discount and Canadian $/US$ parity while it lasts).
1. Can VMSP8 and Pro 8 co-exist installed and used on the same machine? Has anybody who has done this upgrade experienced any issues, e.g. codec conflicts or other dependency problems?
2. Can VMSP8 .vf project files be imported/converted to Pro 8 project files? Any other way to bring my VMS work/edits into Pro8 without having to re-do the work? (This is a bit of a theoretical question - I'll very likely be buying cineform and re-capturing or converting most of my existing HV20 24p footage to remove pulldown anyway - my work so far has been 24p-in-60i, not having the expertise, time or patience for the free 24p workflow worked out in the forums).
