VMSP9 and 24P

I recently bought a Canon HV40 and want to experiment with shooting in 24P. However, I am unclear how it relates to Vegas.

My "standard" project settings include a frame rate of 29.97. Do I need to change this (or any other settings) for video that I have shot in 24P, or can I proceed with my standard settings.

Thanks.

Hi Dave, hit Alt + Enter to bring up project properties > click on the folder icon in the top right > find your footage > pick any clip and double click it to match your project properties to the footage, and you should be good to go. Cin

Shoot in native 24p, that the HV40 is able to do (don't use PF24), and then "match" the project properties to it. It should read progressive, at 23.976 fps.
