I'm using Movie Studio Platinum 7.

I'm trying to transfer footage from a DVD that was made using a stand-alone DVD Recorder from Sony (Footage was transfered from a VHS tape).

I get three VOB files. Files 2 & 3 give me video and audio when transfered to MS, File 1 only gives me video.

I've read a little bit about how MS 7 can't import AC3, and I know the first couple seconds of File 1 are the menu from the DVD. I thinking the menu might be in AC3, with the footage going back to stereo. THis might explain why the first file doesn't give me audio and the other two do.

I'm I approaching this the right way? If so, how can I change the audio to stereo and not AC3?
