VOB file error

I started receiving a "Warning: An error occurred while writing a file. The VOB file is too large for its type." I am working with DVDA 5 and started receiving this error on a file that I have already burned before but have added another file to it and changed it to a dual layer disk. Any one know what the error represents?

Were you able to change the project's properties to dual-layer disc?

How much space does the program show the file using on your disc? How long is your project? What are your source files? Is it an MPEG output from Vegas?

Any more relevant details you can offer would help.

I know I've heard of this error once before, but have no idea where I've read about it. Never gotten it myself, and I'm not finding anything in the archives here.

I seem to recall it had to do with the number / size of menus on the disc. Keep in mind that the DVD format has a 1GB limit on menus.

You didn't happen to add your movie as a menu background, did you? Or you have several pages of menus?

The files are MPEG 2. I have optimized the bit rate tp 3.216. The file size is 5.917.5 GB 70% of the 8.5 GB disk. I have created this disk on regular DVD but since have added a small file. Before I did not receive the error now dual layer I do. I would really like to put this on a dual layer and be able to increase the bit rate and use more of the disk. The files were created on Vegas 8 and only have one sub menu for a total of 6 files. The largest file is 3.4 GB

I think I got a similar message when I tried to choose my own breakpoint.
It worked once I let the software choose the breakpoint.
