Hey Guys

Yes there is. What you need to do is get Vfapi and DVD2Avi at http://www.divx-digest.com/software
Then go to this link for the guide: http://www.vcdhelp.com/mpeg2tovcd.htm

It'll tell you what to do but only read it up until it says open TMPG because you don't need it and Vegas is SO much more flexable. You'll basically get 2 files one for the video and one for audio.
Open them both one under the other at vegas and create your movie!

VV3 does open the Vfapi AVI file. It appears the output frame would not be the same size as the input. i.e. cropped edges. It is possible that I have not found the proper project settings in VV3 and I have not tried to render a file. Tomadonna, if you can give some more insight on this situation I would be grateful.

Thanks,

Actually, I´m having problems when I try to use ANY MPEG file. It´s too slow to edit and I didn´t do anything different as when I used VV2. What could it be?
Now, for the problem of output frame (this is to BHP), the most important is the rendered result. But you could try to change the project as follows:
1 - Choose any template for digital format (NTSC DV (720x480; 29,970 fps)) for example;
2 - frame size: use the same as it is;
3 - Change the filed order to "none - progressive scan";
4 - and finally change the Pixel sapect ratio to 1,000 (multimedia).

It may work. But don´t forget; choose the correct template when you RENDER the final video.
