can anyone easily describe VOB files. I've been refering to the files on a playable DVD as video TS files, but I'm noticing allot of people calling them VOB files. whats the difference?
thanks
The VOB contains the video, all the audio tracks (remember, you can have lots of different audio tracks on each video), the subtitles, and also some navigation information, all interleaved together so that at the moment the disc is being read, your DVD player can extract the audio track you have selected, plus any subtitle, and play this synchronized to the video, while ignoring the other audio and subtitle tracks.
