Hi,
I downloaded some "vob" trailers from http://www.cinenow.com/uk/vobtrailer.php3 and i'm trying to make them burn in a dvd-video. I have the Pioneer DVD-R A04 burner and the following software:
1) Vegas Video 3
2) Sonic Scenarist
3) Sonic DVDiT! PE
4) etc etc etc........................................
with some ripping tools. I have almost everything and i often rip and burn DVD'S, edit my video's and everything else BUT I CAN'T MAKE THESE VOB FILES TO BE ON A DVD-VIDEO DISC!!!!!!!

Any ideas ????
Thanx - Stelios (greece)

I use a freeware program called DV2avi. This can convert a .vob to an uncompressed .avi, which I then take into Vegas and play with.

Maybe someone knows a cleaner path with fewer transcodings.

I just downloaded dolby-game.vob from the site, ran it through "dvd 2 avi", then vfapi, then opened it in vdub... As far as I can tell from that little bit it's standard stuff -- could it be you're having problems because it NTSC 29.97 interlaced?

Erk, I just surfed to shareware.com and didn't come up with "DV2avi", do you have a link for a download?

ok ok I found the solution.....
For VOB use TMPGEnc, select File->MPEG Tools,
select Simple Demultiplex and open the mpg and hit start.
To demultiplex VOBs or MPGs with several audio tracks select
the Demultiplex and open the video and then doubleclick on the
audio or video you wanna save.

Then put the m2v and ac3 in SPRUCEUP or SCENARIST and you are OK.

John,

Sorry, I should have said "DVD 2 Avi," as in Mikkie's post. Here's a link to a page that explains how to use it as well as providing a link to the program itself.
