Voice Recording

I'd like to ask for some advice for voice overs. Whenever I do a voiceover, my audio always comes out sounding a tiney. It sounds like I'm recording my voice inside of a box. To this day I haven't been able to figure out why. The editing tool i'm using is Sony Vegas Movie Studio 16, and the mic i'm using is the Avermedia AM310 USB microphone.

Could anybody give me some advice?

Also possibly caused by the acoustics of your recording environment.
