Volume envelope and track filters

I'm editing a ceremony and the different speakers were very different in their volume. In Vegas 8, if I apply the Sony compressor filter to an audio track, and also do a volume envelope to make the overall volume even, which one takes place first? Does the compressor take the signal from the track with the volume envelope already applied, or viceversa?

Hi Sebaz,

I found the Audio Signal Flow on page 38 of the Vegas 8 PDF User Guide. According to the diagram, Track Fx comes before Track Volume in the signal flow.

EDIT: You have probably already found the correct answer. Let us know if it is different from what I've posted.
