Volume envelope not working! SVP 10

Vegas Pro 10, Win XP 32 bit

Hey you audio experts, I need help! I can't get a volume envelope to work on any project I try. I'd like to adjust volume levels along the audio track with the little blue line thing like everyone in the YT tutorials make look easy.

I perform the routine: right click track command window (or alternately at top: insert > audio envelope > volume) > insert/remove envelope > click volume. Nothing, nada, zip. No little blue line to work with.

What's wrong here? Is there a setting in preferences I've overlooked?

No, it's in the Menu.
View->Show Envelopes
;?)

or.... hit the "V" key on your keyboard, does the same thing, 'show /hides' the "thin blue line" (providing the custom color has not been changed)
To add a env. point, double-click the line where you wish to add a env. point, to remove a point , right-click the point and select 'delete'. click and drag to change. See the VP on-line help or the manual for other options.
FWIW, I have never heard of the volume env. not being available.. at least in my tenure.

musicvid wins the gold star. Thanks. For what it's worth, until I selected view > audio envelopes > volume the dang thing would not turn on (the "view envelopes" was checked, btw). Tutorials on YT and elsewhere show right clicking the track command (my word) box, then working your way to check the "volume" button within that sequence. The keyboard shortcut is Shift + V. That's what was not working. Don't know why.

Again, thanks for the help.

FWIW, the "v" shortcut suggested by rraud also works on my installation, whether or not the View->Show Envelopes switch is checked or not.

Best of luck.
