Adjusting the volume on this slider will increase the volume for your entire movie.

You can also raise or lower the volume for a track at a time, an event at a time or, using envelope keyframes, as specific spots in your movie.

So if I use the Master Slider and make the sound Higher it will be Higher when I Rander it as well?

Yes.

It's known as the Bus Control.

It will affect the volume when you rEnder.

Important: check the louder portions of your video in preview and notice if the meters go all the way to the top. If they do your audio will be clipped and distorted at those points.

A better way is to apply compression on the audio track:

1) Click the Track FX icon on the audio track
2) Select Track Compressor
3) Choose the 3:1 Preset (it's what I use)
4) Check the Auto gain compensation option
5) Check the Smooth saturation option
6) Close the Track FX window

Done.

It brings up the lows and lowers the loud parts. You still may have to tweak some parts of the audio track, for that you can use the Audio Envelope.

Well I keep the Slider in the Middle and it sounds good to me.

But I just wanted to make sure.

Should I have the Master Slider onpen I closed it because I thought it did nothing?
And like you told me if it sound Low you can change the sound in the timeline.

You don't have to keep it open. I use it as a reference to see what the overall volume is.

I need to adjust the volume of only a few clips/events, not the entire video, how do I go about doing that? I added some mp3's to a few of my events - helicopter ride in hawaii, and im trying to lower the volume of the helicopter a bit (not entirely) so the mp3's can be heard clearly

Actually this will be a 2 part question:

So i added a few mp3 tracks but the last one ends about a minute after my video ends. How do i cut the mp3 short and have it the song fade out at the end as opposed to a sharp stop?

Actually I ended up getting my answer off an youtube clip :)
