VP license check through VPN

In the current situation with covid-19 I'm working remotely from home where I have VP installed and activated.

To connect to corporate network I have to use VPN client (Cisco AnyConnect). When I connected to the network I'm unable run VP as it tries to check license and could not as such access from corporate network not allowed (and I cannot change this).

When I disconnect from VPN, it runs with no issues.

I though that VP do "call home" not all the time and this behaviour surprises me, actually.

It is possible that when VPN is on, VP detects this as system change and so triggers the activation check.

Any suggestions other than start VP and then connect to VPN?

Thanks.
