VP11 and missing ASIO devices

Hi gang,

I have a MOTU 828 MK2 sound device which I use via ASIO on Vegas Pro 11 (haven't moved to 12 because project renders crash on me).

I recently bought and installed a BlackMagic card for video output, and it came with a BlackMagic ASIO driver.

Now in VP11, I only have the BlackMagic ASIO driver option in the dropdown list under the Audio settings. The MOTU ASIO driver has gone.

Yet, if I load Sound Forge Pro 10, it displays all of the drivers under its Audio settings - both MOTU and BlackMagic.

Is VP11 only allowing one ASIO driver at a time? Or has something gone wrong the VP11?

Common sense tells me to try reinstalling the MOTU driver. I'm nearing the end of a VP11 project that has been extremely temperamental to say the least, with VP crashing on opening the project, on roughly 1 out of every 5 time line playbacks, any renders taking longer than 5 mins to complete, and even when a bird flies over (that's a joke). So I am hesitant to change anything least 2 months of work tips over the edge and becomes completely unusable.

Any experiences or sage words of advice?

Thanks,
Ent.
