VP13 crashing while editing

VP13 keeps shutting off about every 10 minutes or so while editing. I'm still running Windows 7. I saw you have an update build today for it. I downloaded the update but before I uninstall VP13 and install the update I have a question. Will the updated VP13 be able to open the projects I've been editing?

Check for heat problem first. Blow or vacuum out your computer and check that all fans are clear and working. If that is not the issue, then will need more information about your system and the project.
