Have used VP 9 for years with no issues till recently when the audio track had 30 minute voids every 30 minutes. Have no idea what changed, but decided to upgrade to VP13 anyway. After installing and loading the video the audio track was intact so I was elated that the problem was behind me. However, all I had to do was touch the timeline a couple of times and the cursor went to the rotating arrow and never stopped, another touch would cause the program to go grey showing it was hung. I disabled the usage of the GPU for video processing without improvement. I checked several other recommendations in the Knowledge base, but no success. I noticed that the preview window was not updated as the timeline cursor was moved.
I am on the road right now and my ASUS ROG laptop displays the same symptoms. This has to be a configuration issue of some kind. I keep all the installed software updated with Secunia PSI.
