Try emailing Boris support. They may give you a working key. Worth at try. They have always provided excellent support for me. I did not have any issues as I own the full BCC 11 version. Good luck.

Yeah... I think it is pretty messed up with these bundles stealing products you paid money for from you when you install them. I don't care if it was a discounted price, I didn't pay to rent the software, and there was nothing saying that the software I was purchasing had a shelf life. That is false advertising, and is illegal.

@karma17 if you have the VP15 suite and want to keep the Boris 3d objects and sapphire render unit and upgraded to VP16 suite, and installed the new Boris key and sapphire light stuff that came with VP16 suite on the same machine, well than the VP15 suite Boris and sapphire plugins become "unlicensed" with a cross watermark as the VP16 installs the new versions 11. You need to upgrade your sapphire render unit (costs 99 dollar) and the Boris 3d objects (if you still fancy that one).

So yes if you want to keep both plugins install VP16 suite on another machine, or just do not install the new plugins (but that would defeat the purpose of a suite 😕)

The Plugins that Magix gives from BorisFX and others Are like last years and out of date per each plugin bundeled you get you have spend 100-200 per plugin extra to have it up to date.

Get the plugins directly,And Vegas from Magix :)

I contacted Boris customer service about this and this what they said.

"Based on the two version 10 serial numbers listed below, you should not have an install issue.

QF3LF0-**********-C366 - 3D Objects Unit, version 10

2N8GB9-*********-II14B - Continuum Unit, version 10

However, if you have an additional Boris Continuum version 11 serial (serial changed to activation key in v.11) then that would overwrite version 10 as I mentioned earlier.

The two serials you have provided are for Continuum version 10 not 11. 

49**-****-****-**76 - This Sapphire Cross-host Unit: render unit activation key looks to be for v.11 but that is a different product so it should not interfere with Continuum v.10 serials.

Thanks for the info, but this does not change the original post dilemma, an upgrade from 10 to 11 is an upgrade and you have to pay. However what I do not like is that if you keep VP15 along with VP16 and have purchased in both cases the suite, you loose your original VP15 Boris Continuum unit & sapphire unit due to this upgrade (as the upgrade of VP16 suite contains other units...

With VP16 suite, what Boris is concerned you currently (time limited offer) get the serial for Boris Continium version 11 unit for the key thingy, and the serial for the Boris sapphire light unit version 11.

It is maybe true that you can keep Continuum and sapphire separated in version 10 and version 11, But once you install 11 of one of the units (say the boris continuum) the 10 license product of the same product line is gone. The same applies for the Boris Sapphire product line.

This may be different for those who have purchased the VP15 suite a few months later than me, when the offered Boris Continuum unit or Boris Sapphire unit may have been offered with a license for version 11 instead of me when it was version 10. But this I do not know.

I had the same problem.

I have BCC10 complete licence. After installing Vegas pro 16 with the BCC add-ons, BCC10 was gone.

I found following trick to get the BCC10 effects that are not included in the BBCC11 units I installed back:

At the end of the BCC unit installation you are asked if all unlicensed effects should be removed. Answer "YES" to this question. The result is that only the licensed BCC effects are shown in Vegas Pro.

Install all new BCC 11 units you have. (Key and Blend Unit, Lights Unit, .. ).

Make sure that you have activated all BCC 11 units you have and that you said "YES" to the question "Delete all unlicensed effects" at the end.

Now reinstall BCC10.

After this process I had all new effects from BCC11 and all old effects from BCC10 in my VEGAS 16 effects list.

Thanks, I just tried it, but I was not able to have both the 10 and 11 versions. With your method I started off with 11 activated ones, and delete all unlicensed effects, next run BCC10 installer, but that did not add anything, only after running BCC10 installer a second time, that added all the effects, not just one, but these effects were 11 effects with "trial", obviously my 10 license did not stick. I give up on this, I just paid the 99 for the upgrade sapphire render to 11 (as I liked this one), and took my losses for BCC 3d objects. Boris can stick their BCC 3d objects where the light does not shine.
