VP17: GPU Acceleration does not work with a GTX1060

Attached is a link showing my issue, which is whenever I attempt to render a scene using VP17 with GPU Acceleration of video processing on, set to my GTX1060, it will prompt me with the error: "An error occurred while creating the media file xyz.mp4. The system is low on memory. You may be able to reduce memory usage by closing other applications."

As of turning GPU acceleration off, it suddenly works as intended. But just as well as Vegas 15, the version I had JUST upgraded from. GPU acceleration was my main buying point, and it seems silly that it can't properly use my GPU to accelerating rendering.

Is there any solution to this where I can use my GPU to accelerate rendering times?

1. Make sure you are using the latest studio driver.

2. Make sure you don't have plugins also using the GPU. If so, see if they let you specify how much GPU VRAM they use, or see if you can disable the GPU acceleration on those plugins if not.

Systems:

Desktop

AMD Ryzen 7 1800x 8 core 16 thread at stock speed

64GB 3000mhz DDR4

Geforce RTX 3090

Windows 10

Laptop:

ASUS Zenbook Pro Duo 32GB (9980HK CPU, RTX 2060 GPU, dual 4K touch screens, main one OLED HDR)

@Appreax

What is your setting for dynamic RAM previeuw max in Options/Preferences/Video and do you use that option from the menu Tools?

That has only a few to do with this setting, but important is more which rendertemplate is used. Therefore you have to choose a Magix codec with the Nvidia NVENC option like these
