VP17 - Insane Lag

So I have VEGAS Pro 17 and when I open the motion tracking tool (via Blezier Masking) and click on ''start'' Vegas Pro crashes/freezes/lags and my pc starts lagging insane. Is there any fix to this? It also says that it will finish in about an hour or three, is that normal or not, and can I also speed that up?

All your system specs are way below the minimum system specs for VP17.

All right, guess I have to try something else

With those specs and what you are trying to do, the best "something else" would be an upgrade.
