VP18 + SpectraLayers Pro 7

The current offer for VP18 includes SpectraLayers Pro 7 worth £229. It looks impressive but I cant quite get my head around what I can use it for in connection with video & audio editing. Has anyone used it and for what purpose?
Can it for instance remove that hollow echoy sound you get in a room when the mic is a bit further away from the source than you'd like?

My use of SpectraLayers since version 1 has been for cleaning up background audio of clicks/thumps/removing unwanted bg sounds/removing or reducing nearby voices/removing low level wind noise, etc.

For reducing echo, you may need to look at iZotope's RX7 or RX7 Advanced -

Yes, I looked at that. Its very smart and cool looking but doesnt tell me much. My main interest would be in restoration so I guess I'll have to get it and no doubt it will be fun to play with. VP 18 itself will have to be put on hold until the first update though!
The RX7 video is sooo much more informative, Lesson for Steinberg there.
