GPU driver is up to date & i've deleted C:\Users\user\AppData\Local\VEGAS Pro\21.0 files.

I assume you have the latest Continuum?

Let me check on the continuum, I have a pretty recent one, maybe not the latest.

Continuum 2023 - Version 16.0.3.380 Job 36 timestamp: Jan 20 2023, so a bit older.

@bitman I'm pretty sure, 99.9% it has worked but haven't looked at it recently, I very rarely if ever get problems like this, Vegas + Boris can crash but that's normally after being applied to the media & is more likely with Sapphire not Continuum.

Interestingly it opens from the EventFX but still crashes from the VideoFX

@bitman Thanks,  It also loads from the Video Output FX at the top of the preview window,

Had a thought tho, when trying to open from VideoFX there's two homemade presets prob from a previous Continuum version , it loads the default thumbnail but crashes as it starts to create the others, I know if an associated file like a 3D object or a Mocha mask is missing that can mess things up a bit, Is there a way to delete those two presets ?

I opened this because of another post (There's no BCC+Film Looks anymore)

@Former user  ... If the presets were saved in BCC+'s FX Editor, the presets should be saved to Documents/BorisFX/Continuum/Film Stocks - they should be able to be deleted from that folder.

@Former user I do not get the opening splash that you have with the version and all. Maybe they have updated stuff in version 2023.5

But it gave me a thought, I used the dropdown button & selected one of the 2 presets thinking i could delete them from there but it crashed Vegas when choosing one.

@Dexcon Thanks, but the only preset in there is Grey dreams, no sign of the 2 in my pic above, prob why it's crashing.

Edit - these were created in Vegas with the Save & X buttons at the end of the preset dropdown, i create some so Vegas can find them if i search/look for something simple like colour or brightness,

I found 'Warm Evening' in C:\Users\gidjo\OneDrive\Documents\OFX Presets\com.borisfx.bcc_dft.ofx.filmStocks\Filter but couldn't find anything else.

I didn't delete or move anything, I was just looking through folders, I went back & added Film stocks from the EventFX, when i chose the first in the list from the preset drop down 'color contrast vignette' it crashed, this time tho only Warm evening was there.

Like i say i haven't moved or deleted anything, it sorted itself out somehow, just a rogue/ghost file of some kind,

@Former user, do like Film Stocks a lot. Doing a search from within the FX Editor, I have nothing listed for "Warm Evening", which yours shows everything in lower case.

The first film stock I have listed is 8mm BW. And I don't have the horrid M$ One Drive enabled on my computer. It created, at least of me, more storage issues than I wanted.

Going to this location on my C: drive: C:\UsersUserName\AppData\Local\VEGAS Pro\21.0, and doing a search for "warm", nothing comes up. When I have had plugin issues, I've "reset" the Vegas plugin cache. I usually rename the files. plugin_manager_cache.bin and svfx_plugin_cache.bin. When restarting Vegas, it will rebuild all the plugins again.

@Reyfox Yep i prob created that warm evening for whatever reason 🤷‍♂️

OneDrive isn't logged in, It's basically just a folder on my PC & yep I just delete the whole C:\Users\gidjo\AppData\Local\VEGAS Pro\21.0 folders contents, that clears out other temp files n bak stuff. it seems to reload afresh, this was just a dodgy file, some kind of remnant after recent updates inc Continuum 🤷‍♂️

@Former user so you are good to go? Glad you can now use (which I do often) Film Stocks without crashing!
