VP22 - Effects bar not showing in its entirety.

Hello all,

I just purchased Vegas 22 and so far I'm doing OK with it on a new ASUS laptop running Windows 11. But there are two things that are driving me nuts:

First, with Vegas 17, whenever I added audio effects to a project, the added effects were shown at the top of the window in what I call the "effects bar". It would extend across the entire screen on top, showing all of the effects that I added to the tune. I could simply click on any one that I wanted to revise and not lose the entire bar showing all of the other effects. But now with version 22, let's say I add eight different audio effects to the project. When I click on one that I wish to adjust, the entire effects bar disappears with the exception of the effect that I'm working on. Then I have to manually drag the bar to the right in order to show all of the other effects again, if I wish to adjust another one. This is driving me crazy. How do I keep the effects bar completely open all of the time for easy access to all of them?

Second, I installed the "classic plugins" from Kjaerhus on Vegas 22 (classic delay, classic compressor, classic EQ, etc). They are no longer made by the company, but are still available from other websites. Unfortunately, they will not load on version 22. They loaded fine on Vegas 17 on another laptop running Windows 10. But on this new laptop running Windows 11, they don't show up. I've tried just about everything I know.

Can anyone help with both of these issues?

Thanks in advance.

Hi @Gene1000, Is "Allow windows to dock enabled" in "Options> Preferences> Display"

Unfortunately, they (classic plugins" from Kjaerhus) will not load on version 22.

They do not load on VP-21 either.. nor do many other third-party 32 bit VST-2 plugs. They function perfectly VP-16 though. (one step forward two steps back)

@Gene1000 What you want to talk about is the automatic adjustment of the audio FX window, which I think is really an issue that needs to be addressed. Even if I've disabled it in Preferences -> General, I couldn't turn this behavior off in the Audio FX window.

@rraud Go to Preferences -> Audio -> Enable support for 32-bit VST plug-ins (experimental).

Using VEGAS Pro 22 build 248 & VEGAS Pro 21 build 208.

Thanks @zzzzzz9125 !

I have been using earlier versions of VP to mix audio and render the video in VP-21. I was not aware the devs added that setting.

Thanks. I'm glad to know that it's not my system!
