VP8: 32 bit PNGs? (For scripts) kentwolf wrote on 9/13/2007, 5:58 PM So how does one save a 16x16 32 bit PNG file with Photoshop CS2? When you go to 32 bit, PNG is not an available save as option. This is apparently now required for script custom images. I am really having a tough time with what would appear to be a simple task. Thanks. Back to post
Comments jetdv wrote on 9/13/2007, 6:27 PM In Paint Shop Pro I created one by adding one spot of transparency. fwtep wrote on 9/13/2007, 7:19 PM Try adding an alpha channel. It might now show it because you don't have a 32 bit file. JohnnyRoy wrote on 9/13/2007, 7:26 PM As others pointed out, you must make one pixel transparent whether you want to or not. :( This is the only way I have found to save as 32-bit vs 24-bit. ~jr kentwolf wrote on 9/13/2007, 8:30 PM Thanks guys. I see what you all mean. I did find an icon editing program that just simply "converts" them to 32 bit PNGs. All works fine now. 1
