Ultimate S 3 and all other VASST plugins (including the VASSTFREE plugins) are updated for Vegas 8. You'll need to download the latest versions.
Edward will have to confirm, but I'm pretty sure Excalibur is already done as well.

Just got an email from Richard at Velvet Matter in which he stated Velvet Matter plugins would be up and working within the next day or two.

Version 5.0 of Excalibur is NOT OK with Vegas Pro 8 - neither is version 5.5. There's a specific download for version 8 as Harold Brown mentioned. That is version 5.6. Note that the Vegas Pro 8 version also will not work with the previous versions of Vegas.

It appears that one needs to upgrade to Ultimate S version 3 to get Ultimate S to work with V8. This is at a cost of $69. This bothers me. I don't see significant improvements in US3 and will drop my support for this plugin.

Just checked and Veggie Toolkit 3.0 works with V8:

Veggie Toolkit 3.0

Looks like you have to email for the free upgrade from 2.0.

I posted this under a velvet matter thread, but it is now compatible if you download the Vegas 8 version.

Customers of Ultimate S2 already received a FREE upgrade when Vegas 7 came out even though Ultimate S3 was the currently supported version (US2 is 3+ years old now). It is unfortunate that with each version of Vegas, Sony does something to make old scripts break but we have no control over this and we can’t support older versions forever. Ultimate S3.1 has been updated to work with Vegas Pro 8.0 for FREE to all existing US3.0 customers. We are still offering you a $100 discount on the price of US3.1 as an existing US2 customer and it has quite a bit more features to justify the price. We do value your patronage. Feel free to contact us off-line if you have further questions or concerns.

Boris FX 9 and Graffiti 5 work fine, you just need to copy the plugin files to the Vegas 8 plugin directory. No need to unlock them again.

I decided not to upgrade from Ultimate S2 to US3 because I really didn't see any major changes/additions that give me any value. I'm with Bill, I'm also disappointed that I've got to upgrade so that it will work with V8.
