I tried to install Vegas Pro 9 on my laptop (which already has Vegas 8 on it) and the installer first installs some Microsoft redistributable package and then simply quit with the error message (in its entirety): "Requirements not met". That isn't very informative.

After that I didn't change anything, just ran the install again. This time it didn't say anything about microsoft prerequisites needed, and proceeded to actually install V9. Curious.
