Further trying out VPro 13 from the Magix site and loaded with recent projects (from VPro 13 pre-Magix) gave me for more than 90% the following screen after attempts to load those projects.
The 2 small projects that were loading had only the FX Sony levels (now called Vegas levels).
Does this mean that in the new Vegas 13 and the coming Vegas Pro 14 only new projects can be made or do we get a kind of VersionFaker?😇🙃🤑
Hi, I am also asking about compatabilty from older projects to v14 in another thread.
The best guess so far is yes, they should be compatable. However scripting and possibly plugins may need to be updated to follow v14 when it comes. It will be interesting to see v14 beta when it arrives.
Personally, i have a bunch of projects from v9 and v10 and it would be very nice if these load into v14.

We are not reproducing the same crash opening a Vegas project from a prvious version using the levels plug in with the current update of the software. I recommend creating a support ticket for this issue if this continues to occur.
